Managing Director, Head of Health & Performance

Founder of CFPT and Head of Health and Performance, Ed draws his experience from his international rugby career, his time as a competitive CrossFit athlete and coach, sporting injuries and his continued passion to learn and develop himself as an individual in all of these areas. Ed addition to his responsibilities as a coach, personal trainer and gym owner, Ed writes the S&C programming and oversees all other programming at Coastal Fitness.

Ant Haynes

Senior Health & Performance Specialist

Five-time Crossfit Regionals athlete, ex-international rugby player and passionate coach. Ant thrives on seeing his athletes progress, no matter what their goals. Ant coaches our group classes, takes on personal training clients and works closely with a number of remote coaching clients both in HK and overseas.

Babs Glancy

Health & Performance Specialist

CFPT Crossfit Regionals Team member, ex-international hockey player, lover of the outdoors and Mum to a gorgeous little boy, Babs is one of the original Coastal Fitness coaches. Behind her big smile is a coach who is relentless in her quest for improved fitness for all her clients, both in the group class setting as well as one-on-one.

Emma Chan

Health and Performance Specialist

A competitive volleyball player who’s passion for training and coaching stemmed from a sporting injury and her subsequent road to recovery. If Emma isn’t in the gym, it’s likely she’s exploring the world, or dancing!

Steven Hightower

Health & Performance Specialist

Adventurous both in and out of CFPT, Steven is our movement specialist. Outside of coaching, Steven is a passionate photographer and videographer and loves to train outdoors, experimenting with movement, doing yoga or meditating.

Charlotte Thompson

Health & Performance Specialist

Charlotte, more commonly known as Lotte, is the newest member of the CFPT coaching team. Lotte was the first ever graduate of the CFPT Apprenticeship programme, after a full year of training and hard graft. Lotte’s coaching talents are diverse and you will often find her leading our S&C classes, Coastal30 and Coastal Kids classes. 

Alex Younger

Health & Performance Specialist

Barbell specialist Alex Younger brings experience from the UK, UAE and now HK. Alex has been a competitive Crossfitter his entire adult life and whilst he is always looking to increase his knowledge, he is passionate about sharing this knowledge with all who are interested in learning.

Saed Alami

Health & Performance Specialist

Saed (pronounced “sad” but meaning happiness in Arabic) coached in Belgium and Abu Dhabi before coming to Hong Kong and speaks four languages – French, Dutch, Arabic and English! Saed is our Coastal30 specialist. He also loves an outdoor workout and exploring the city of Hong Kong.


Nicola Bruce

General Manager

Mum-of two, hockey player and regular group class member, Nicola came to CFPT from the world of Events, Communications and Fundraising. If she isn’t working or training in the gym she is likely to be found taking her girls on little adventures around Hong Kong.

Erica Brandelius

Operations Manager

Originally from the USA, Erica’s love for travelling has taken her to all corners of the globe. The experience with work and life that she has gained overseas has helped shape the person she is today. Erica pours her heart and soul into her work, her training and her hobbies.



Resident accountant, CK So, can be found either busy crunching numbers in the 1/F office or sweating it out at the Coastal30 classes. If he isn’t at CFPT, CK is out hiking in the hills or swimming. An energetic and happy member of the team, CK proves that age is just a(nother) number!

Carolyn Champion

Operations Coordinator

Never without a smile, Carolyn is all about family, sports and anything Canadian. She always has a positive outlook and doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Carolyn is the only staff member (and perhaps, person) to be CFPT branded!
